IMPORTANT AND ORIGINAL KACHMAR RUG, SIGNED (Iran, circa 1975) Ruby-red field with original polychrome decoration of sprigs of flowering palmettes surrounded by finely drawn foliage framing a large and original central medallion with a wreath of flowers inlaid with reserves and a multicoloured floral composition surrounded by symmetrically arranged swans richly in flowers. Four spandrels decorated with polychrome crowned stylised jars. Five borders, the main one midnight blue, decorated with rows of bulbs and multicoloured floral buds.
