IMPORTANT ROMAN SILVER DECORATED SKYPHOS Ca. 50 BC. A silver skyphos standing on a baluster stem with a chased foot. The vessel was assembled from separate parts, including the foot and the two sections of the handles. Two gilt decorative bands of oval and dart mouldings (kyma and kyma reversa) accented with beading, are chased around the upper portion of the cup.
