Important bizarre brocade table carpet, probably Sicily, circa 1707-1708, lampas fashioned in polychrome silk and silver baudruche thread, pink damask ground; dense decoration of scrolls of foliage, flowering horns and imaginary flower plants. Later mounting, lining in cherry red taffeta, crest in gold metallic thread, small accidents on the top, stains on the lining, 242 x 148 cm.
