IMPORTANT UPPER PART OF A LID OF EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE MODEL COFFIN. Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 332 - 30 BC. An upper part of limestone model coffin. The face with a rounded jawline, smooth cheeks, and closed eyes beneath subtly arched eyebrows. The nose is straight, flanked by gently modelled nostrils, and the lips are softly delineated, forming a neutral expression. The ears are prominently carved with well-defined folds. The figure wears a tripartite wig extending to the shoulders, with a horizontal band across the forehead. The surface displays a smooth finish with minimal detailing.
