An important religious reliquary cross and keepsake.
In silver-plated metal, of simple Latin shape, thick and opening, with anchored ends.
On the front, Christ on the cross, in relief, under the phylactery "INRI" ("Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews").
On the reverse, an important text in Latin, recounting many stages in the spiritual life of François, Laurent, Marie, Victor Trévoux, (known as François Trévoux), born on 21 July 1843 in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, baptised on 24 July 1843, made his First Communion on 10 July 1855 and confirmed on 21 November 1855. He became a deacon on 15 June 1865, then a priest on 21 December 1867 (other engraved information not mentioned). He was sent on a foreign mission to Pondicherry in India on 15 March 1868. He died that same year on 18 August in Vettavalam, at the age of 25, where he had gone for a few days' holiday. The beginning of the Credo completes the picture. In the centre, between the arms of the cross, the double-sided medal of Notre Dame de la rue du Bac. Inside, 6 small oval glass reliquaries are fixed. In the centre, a contact relic, the "True Cross", and 5 contact relics per small oval reliquary, including Saint François de Sales, Venerable François Jaccard (or Jacquard), Saint Etienne, Saint Sixte, Saint Laurent, Saint Blandine, Saint Pierre, etc. Complete with its screw and functional screw thread. Two suspension rings.
