An important pair of baluster-shaped ornamental vases in antique green Greek marble. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes highlighting the contours, including the frieze of palmettes and tulips centred on a radiant sun motif that encircles the body. On the sides, two silene profiles serve as handles. The quadrangular bronze base is punctuated with quatrefoils on an amatized background. French work from the early 19th century, Louis XVI style.
