Important kitchen tobacco grater
Made of carved and engraved walnut and sheet metal. The back is richly decorated with a diamond-patterned latticework, followed by three bell-pull tassels, a heart, a large blooming flower and a stylised shell. The base is dotted and the borders are outlined with zigzag friezes. The edges are bevelled. A shell-shaped spout and a simulated spout on the opposite side. The spout is made of sheet metal, re-pierced with holes forming a cross on a semicircle, flanked by two hearts.
