Important suite of six painted panels from a large décor, depicting buildings in lively lakeside landscapes. The six different panels depict thatched cottages, ancient temples, mills, fortresses and timber-framed houses in mountainous landscapes with rivers and waterfalls, decorated with peasant women, fishermen, children and numerous animals such as dogs, mules, horses and cows. These painted panels, curved at the top, are enhanced by a frame printed with blue interlacing on a light background and spandrels showing women draped in the antique style in gold and silver pieces in the shape of a boat amidst foliage or ribboned trophies.
