INCA DOUBLE CHAMBERED FELINE WHISTLING VESSEL Ca. 1000 - 1425 AD. A metallic gray glazed blackware pottery double chambered vessel, having a tall cylindrical rear spout connected to the front whistling, faux spout with a squared tubular bridge-type handle. A jaguar reclines on a rectangular slab platform on top of the front spout. Size: 140mm x 200mm; Weight: 420g Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex. Jack Bregman collection, NYC. Acquired prior to 1969 while in the Peace Corps. By descent to current owner. Collection # 024. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
