INDUS VALLEY FLASK WITH ANIMALS.
Ca. 2600 - 2000 BC.
A terracotta jug with a globular body tapering towards a narrow neck with a rounded, pronounced rim. The surface is decorated with painted geometric and figurative motifs in dark pigment. A series of horizontal bands encircle the body, featuring stylised depictions of animals with elongated necks and rounded bodies, interspersed with wavy and linear patterns.
