INDUS VALLEY NAL STYLE PAINTED VESSEL WITH BULLS.
Ca. 2500 - 2200 BC
A pottery vessel with near-vertical sides rising from a tapered lower body resting on a ring foot. The exterior is painted in polychrome with a frieze of two long-bodied bulls with prominent striped humps, arranged in opposed panels and separated by vertical lines, the animals set beneath stepped motifs suspended from the rim.
