INDUS VALLEY NAL TERRACOTTA PAINTED BOWL WITH FISH, BIRD AND LEAF Ca. 2600 - 1800 BC. A terracotta bowl with a wide, deep body, slightly incurving rim, and flat base. The upper section is decorated with three alternating motifs enclosed within separate panels: a stylised fish with bold outlines and detailed scales, a large heart-shaped leaf with diagonal hatching, and a frontal bird with outstretched wings, zigzag feathers, and a striped body and tail. The panels are filled with triangles and other shapes and are separated by vertical bands. For similar see: A.
