INDUS VALLEY PAINTED JAR WITH QUADRUPEDS. Ca. 2500 - 2000 BC. A terracotta painted jar of buff fabric with an ovoid body and a rounded base. A short tapering neck features a collared moulding and an everted lip. The body is painted in black with a continuous frieze showing long-necked quadrupeds above a cross-hatched ground.
