INDUS VALLEY TERRACOTTA BULL FIGURINES Ca. 2700 - 2300 BC. A pair of terracotta animals, each modelled with a compact body supported on four short legs, a prominent upright neck, and a rounded muzzle. The one on the left has large applied circular eyes and projecting ears. The one on the right has a slimmer body with pointed horns and minimal surface detail. Size: 60-72mm x 45-55mm; Weight: 80g Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex. Nicolas Koutoulakis, Switzerland, 1970s, Ex.
