INDUS VALLEY TERRACOTTA IDOL Ca. 2500 - 2000 BC. A terracotta idol with a stylised anthropomorphic form, standing upright with conjoined feet and pointed arms, tapering to a narrow waist. The head is surmounted by a tall, conical headdress incised with a chevron pattern, while the facial area and chest are adorned with pierced circular impressions. Additional incised and punctate details appear on the hips, abdomen, and legs. The reverse is marked by two long incised lines crossing in an X-pattern down the back.
