INDUS VALLEY TERRACOTTA PAINTED DISH DEPICTING FISH
Ca. 3200 - 2800 BC.
A flat terracotta dish with a raised, rounded edge. The central field is decorated with four large fish, interspersed with smaller fish swimming in a circular motion around a central concentric motif with a dot inside. A band with pairs of fish interspersed with stylised squares decorates the broad rim.
