Edition: Second edition, considerably enlarged and increased in the iconographic apparatus compared to the first of 1766.
Volume I (Genoa): Contains the famous topographical plan of the city 'in the sole lap of its old walls' measured by Giacomo Brusco and engraved by Guidotti.
Volume II (Rivieras): Dedicated to the artistic beauties of the Western and Eastern Rivieras, it often includes portraits of Ligurian artists and an overview of the city.
Special feature: The coat of arms of the city of Genoa (griffins holding up a crusader shield) adorns the title page of the first volume.
