Italy - Rome Beisbarth, Carl Friedrich View of the Tempio della Pace in Rome. 1835. Pen and wash drawing on J. Whatman wove paper (with watermark). 43 x 49 cm. Signed and dated. Artist's blindstamp in upper white margin. With multiple framing drawn in. Exceptionally finely drawn work by the Württemberg architect Carl Friedrich Beisbarth. Our work was created during his study trip to Italy, which lasted more than three years and took him to Verona, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome and further south to Naples via Calabria and finally to Sicily and finally back to Rome. - Minimally browned due to paper, some short tears in margins (mostly backed), upper left corner with small section, minimally stained. Good overall. Exceptionally finely nuanced architectural drawing. Pen and ink drawing washed on J. Whatman wove paper (w. watermark). Signed and dated.
