The present watch is no. 59 of a limited edition of 250 pieces. The model pays tribute to Saint Exupery book « Courrier Sud » from 1929, and was limited to 1929 pieces, as follow, 1178 pieces in steel, 500 pieces in rose gold, 250 pieces in white gold, such as the present watch, and one in platinum. “Courrier Sud” describes the life of Antoine de Saint Exupéry. After training as a military pilot, notably in Strasbourg and Le Bourget, at the age of 26 he took his pilot's license in public transport and joined the Toulouse-based Latécoère aviation company. He began by flying between Toulouse and Rabat, then between Toulouse and Casablanca. His year-long stint as commander of the Spanish civilian flight station at Fort Cap Juby on the Atlantic coast was perhaps the happiest period of his life. Antoine de Saint Exupéry (1900 - 1944) is one of the most famous french writer for his novel 'The Little Prince'. He is also a well-known aviator, being one of the pioneers of international postal flight, in the days when aircraft had few navigation instruments.
