IZNIK POTTERY PLATE
Turkey, Ottoman Empire, early 17th century.
Painted in Bolus-red engobe, green, and blue. With a saz leaf between roses and tulips rising from tall grass. Stylized tree border on the lip. The reverse side features stylized leaf motifs in green and blue.
Ø 25.5 cm.
Restored.
