Provenance :
-Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne of 10 August 1778 "A young Savoyard girl showing her marmot dancing" by Jacques Dumont le Romain, painted on canvas, 24 inches high by 18 wide (i.e. 65 x 50); The painting, which was then a counterpart to "A little Savoyard watching a squirrel", reappeared in the Boileau sale four years later, in 1782.
