It is a Jaguar E-Type, model (2 + 2), therefore, this coupé is fitted with a longer wheelbase and 2 rear seats. The car was imported from America in February 2015 and hitherto used by its previous owners as a daily driver. Engine and transmission work well, the vehicle is in an unrestored condition. Since the Californian sun has left its mark on the car, some elastic bands have already been renewed. With a little care, this E-Type has a lot of potential to again be turned into a presentable gem. Jaguar In 1922, Sir William Lyons established the ‘Swallow Sidecar Company’ and began producing by sidecars for motorcycles. In 1927 he designed a two-seater bodywork for the Austin Seven and subsequently got involved in the automotive business. In 1935 Lyons presented a new sports car series with the designation SS 100 Jaguar – the emblem ‘Jaguar’ was chosen in accordance with the sporty character of the vehicles.
