JALISCO STANDING MALE WITH NODED SHOULDERS Ca. 100 BC - 250 AD. A red-brown slip pottery standing male figure, arms held away from his sides, bulbous hips, noded shoulders. Depicted with expressive facial features, an open mouth, a well-sculpted, angular nose, wearing multi-ring ear ornaments and a nose ring. Painted black and white highlights. Size: 380mm x 250mm; Weight: 1.8kg Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex. collection of Ronald and Maralyn Biderman, Toronto. Acquired 1960 - 1970s.
