Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Two enamelled porcelain statuettes of women with erotic subjects (shunga), one seated in her blue kimono, her sex visible underneath, the other standing, covering her mouth and wearing only a jacket, bare legs (perhaps she originally had a removable skirt, lost).
