H. 33 x 18 cm Note: Ohara Koson (1877-1945) was a Japanese painter and designer of woodcuts of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, part of the shin-hanga ("new prints") movement. He is famous as a master of kacho-e (birds and flowers) drawings. Throughout his prolific career, during which he created around 500 engravings, he bore three different titles: Ohara Hoson, Ohara Shoson and Ohara Koson.
