JAPAN, 19th century A hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane lacquer box in gold, silver and polychrome, decorated on the lid with Daikoku standing on two bales of rice holding his mallet and large bag behind him, and on the sides with a continuous landscape of villages and rice fields, the interior and base in hirame lacquer. H. 5 cm - W. 14 cm - D. 11 cm The edges are badly damaged and missing (some pieces have been preserved), and there is wear and tear.
