Painter and lithographer Jean-Baptiste Arnout exhibited at the Salon between 1819 and 1737. He drew inspiration for his paintings and later his lithographs from the many trips he made to France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, London and Saint Petersburg. He produced numerous illustrations for works on monuments and architecture.
