Jean COCTEAU, Lucien CLERGUE, “Phénixologie”, Three silver gelatin prints by Lucien Clergue depicting Jean Cocteau in Les Baux-de-Provence during the filming of his film *Le testament d’Orphée* in 1959, were printed by Katharine Cooper at Clergue’s laboratory in Arles.
These photographs accompany Jean Cocteau’s handwritten poem “Phénixologie”, dedicated to Lucien Clergue and reproduced as a facsimile. This first edition, designed as a triptych by Patricia Dupuy and Bernard Soria, is limited to 28 signed copies, part of the Téménos collection published by Le Renard Pâle in Saumane in 2013.
