Lot no. 91
Jean DESPRÉS* (1889-1980) - France
Exceptional and rare ball necklace in silver and 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold. This necklace is out of the ordinary because, unlike the Stephanie Seymour Brant or Sylvie King necklaces, both of which are made up entirely of balls, the one we are presenting today is made up of just five silver balls separated by links decorated with lines of gold and ends in a solid silver chain. Made in the 1930s. Artist's hallmark and crab hallmark on the clasp. The eagle head hallmark is missing.
Length: 42 cm.
Diameter of the balls: approx. 2.5 cm.
Gross weight: 112.4 g.
