This work will be included in the Catalogue Raisonné of Jean Metzinger currently being prepared by the Metzinger Committee (M. Ottavi, M. Mielniczuk and R. Maket). A certificate of authenticity from Mrs Bozena Nikiel and Mr Alain Clairet dated 1 February 1990 will be given to the buyer. Note: From 1939 to 1943, Jean Metzinger and Suzanne Phocas left Paris to settle in Bandol in the south of France. The seaside was a source of inspiration for many of their works. Some of them are located there, such as "Passage à Sanary" dating from 1942, which was recently exhibited in Paris.
