Ponsin was a miniature painter and drawing teacher at the Lycée de Reims from 1827 to 1850. His miniatures are fine and very rare (two self-portraits in the Musée des Beaux-arts de Reims, inv. 909.11.1 and 941.3.150). *An ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore compliant with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022.
