Jean Pierre de SAEDELEER (1946-2022) - Belgium 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold necklace comprising a crinkled gold pendant holding two large, beautiful keshis pearls of exceptional lustre in shades of white, pink and bluish green. Highlighted by small diamonds and small pink to violet natural sapphires, the pendant is decorated with two pear-cut pink tourmalines in a closed setting. The necklace is two-tone, with brown to peacock cultured rice pearls on one side and small white baroque pearls with a beautiful pink lustre on the other. Clasp in 18k yellow gold. At the age of 19, he was apprenticed to a famous jeweller's in Brussels, before finally opening his own workshop in 1976, where he sold his creations, which were mainly one-offs. By the age of thirty, he was already using noble materials, and his style was recognised for being both simple and organic, often with a crumpled gold leaf effect into which stones and pearls chosen with remarkable care were inserted.
