GAME OF CARDS of English historical costumes. Paris, Gibert fabt, [1856]. Two complete sets of 52 identical cards, lithographed and stencilled in colour, glazed blue and pink spine; later case (repaired with scotch tape).
The queens represent the Countesses of Oxford, Argyle, Marlborough and Salisbury and the kings represent Leicester, Mac-Farlann, Buckingham and Sir Rhys Thomas.
Two cards marked "Joker" in pencil.
