Bronze, dark brown patina, 1977, signed and numbered 201/400, foundry mark by Venturi Arte, Bologna, and EuroArt publisher's stamp. The oeuvre of the contemporary Greek-Austrian sculptor is characterised by highly stylised, abstract sculptures derived from the human figure and sculptures with long, swelling and receding bodies. The award-winning Avramidis represented Austria at the 1962 Venice Biennale and taught as a professor at the Vienna Academy from 1968-1992. 40.2 cm x 25.5 cm x 5.2 cm.
