He graduated from the Innsbruck School of Applied Arts and continued his artistic training at other institutes. Troyer was particularly known as a stamp designer and created numerous designs that stood out for their detailed and finely crafted aesthetics. His artistic activity was characterised by a wide variety, including small sculptures, graphic works and paintings. In addition to his creative work, he was also active in the Austrian art scene and exhibited regularly. Johannes Troyer died in 1969, but left behind a multifaceted artistic work that found recognition both in Austria and beyond.
