Nice little flintlock pocket pistol, Louis XV period. Smooth octagonal barrel with a calibre of 40 bullets to the pound. Reinforced muzzle. Round body lock. Gooseneck hammer. Round iron pan. Battery spring screwed on the inside. Billed cap. Round trigger guard. Re-coloured countersinks. Later ramrod. Walnut frame extending to mid-barrel. The breech tail is embellished with a beautiful floral carving in the frame. Non-penetrating surface oxidation. Functional mechanism. Length: 188 mm. Condition 2.
