This necklace, which resembles a Claudine collar, takes us right to the heart of Puig Doria's creative origins. Founded in 1948 by José María Puig Doria, the Spanish brand is rooted in resolutely modernist design. The son of an architect who had worked with Gaudi, Puig Doria was immersed in a world of profoundly geometric shapes, lines and structures. In 1969, the designer launched his first line of silver jewellery. The necklace we are presenting here takes up all these codes. A modernist piece of jewellery that appears to be extremely simple, everything about it is studied with precision. The size of the collar, its position and angle, its articulation thanks to a central ring, all combine to make this necklace a sculpture. Just imagine a little black dress with nothing else on, or a shirt in the style of Karl Lagerfeld... The purest models are often perfect. Puig Doria's jewellery has won international acclaim thanks to exhibitions held in the USA and Japan, and the precision of its work has been recognised with numerous awards.
