Designed by Eugène Joseff (1905-1948) in the late 1930s. Wrist size: 17 cm. Gross weight: 63.7 g. Joseff of Hollywood's jewellery was designed in a special way, with a matt metallic finish to prevent it from shining under the spotlight during film shoots. He built up an extensive library to meet the demand for jewellery production, particularly for historical films. He designed, sold and hired jewellery to Hollywood studios. This is how he was able to adorn Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and Vivien Leigh in her prestigious role in "Gone with the Wind". The bracelet shown here was photographed on the wrists of Linda Hayes in 1939 and Carole Lombard in 1940.
