In addition to his Symbolist work with Pre-Raphaelite influences, the artist devoted himself to more realistic genre scenes, such as our attractive panel depicting the intimacy of a studio. A renowned painter and illustrator, he was also a literary critic and poet with the Renaixença Catalan literary movement.
