JOSEPH II (Holy Roman Emperor). Handwritten patent of nobility in German signed by Joseph II (and countersigned by Henri count of Blumegen, first chancellor of the Kingdom of Bohemia) dated 6 December 1781 for François Xavier NICOD giving him the title "de ZEINAU" with enjoyment for him and his descendants of a coat of arms with noble coat of arms, described and painted in the document, a gold jewel and a red wax scean attached to the document in its wooden box attached by cord (well preserved).
In-4 of [10] manuscript ff. on parchment 36 x 31 cm, contemporary brown velvet boards. Engraved frame for the first 3 pages. With the complete translation from German into French drawn up by the Bureau Général de traduction des langues (early 19th c.), 11 pp. large in-8 paperback, in paperback cover.
