Leinwand, Farbtöpfe und Farbrolle bilden die Grundlage, der Künstler wird zum Mittler, der es der Farbe ermöglicht, ihre Wirkung zu entfalten. „Ab einem gewissen Punkt ist sie sich selbst überlassen, sie fließt und formuliert so ihre eigene Faktur. Gelegentliche Eingriffe mit den Händen sind nicht ausgeschlossen, doch sie bleiben als solche nicht sichtbar. Die Materialität der Farbe, ihre relative Natur auf der Leinwand, schluckt all die vorbereitenden Maßnahmen in der Selbstverständlichkeit des So-Seins. Der Künstler ist anwesend als einer, der die Arbeit konzipiert und beaufsichtigt. Canvas, paint pots and paint roller form the basis; the artist becomes the mediator who enables the paint to unfold its effect. At a certain point it is left to its own devices, it flows and thus formulates its own structure. Occasional intervention with the hands is not out of the question, but this does not remain visible as such. The materiality of the colour, its relative nature on the canvas, absorbs all the preparatory measures in the naturalness of being just so. The artist is present as someone who conceives and supervises the work.
