Quillau, 1751. 2 issues in one volume in-12, fawn calf, triple fillet, coat of arms in the centre, spine decorated, red edges (Binding of the period). Copy with the arms of the Marquise de Pompadour. This volume brings together two issues of Europe's oldest literary and scientific periodical, published since 1665. Mme de Pompadour's Journal des sçavans is described in 278 volumes in the catalogue of its sale (1765, no. 3403). This one is tomé 153 on the spine. Thinning on one spine, slightly split.
