Atmospheric, atmospheric summer landscape by André, who was a pupil of the painters André Jolivard and Louis Étienne Watelet until 1827. He undertook extensive study trips, including through large parts of France, from Normandy, Brittany and Burgundy and the Vosges mountains to the south, through Belgium and the Pyrenees; he was also particularly impressed by the Rhine regions.
