Jules LELEU (1883-1961).
Varnished cherrywood veneered sideboard with a quadrangular body opening onto three front doors decorated in the centre with pewter and bronze inlaid squares forming rosettes held in place by bronze legs. Recessed front jambs with a ringed column at the bottom.
Signed in a cartouche on the reverse of the central door.
(Minor accidents and missing parts, notably a bronze element, detachments, missing veneer).
Height 95 cm; Length: 246 cm; Depth: 52 cm.
History: a similar model was exhibited at the 1948 Salon des Arts Ménagers at the Grand Palais in Paris.
