Titled, annotated, dated 1988 and signed on the reverse 49 x 69 cm Tear (original?) in the upper left corner. Note: Karim Guerguer, an atypical artist, learned to paint in Fresnes prison, where he shared a cell with a painter who was a forger. Painting had been an escape from his inner demons, enabling him to reintegrate. Guerguer was close to the Russian painter Yuri Jarkikh, who saw in Guerguer enormous courage, determination and talent.
