KASSITE BANDED AGATE CYLINDER SEAL WITH DEITY AND WORSHIPPER Ca. 1500 - 1200 BC. A banded agate cylinder seal engraved with a vertical panel divided into three registers. The upper part shows two confronting bulls flanking a central plant motif. The central register depicts a seated figure wearing a long garment and a rounded cap, facing a smaller kneeling figure with one hand raised and a dog at his feet. Between them are a cross-shaped motif and a star-like symbol, with a tree beneath the throne. Cuneiform inscriptions fill the space to the left and right of the central field.
