KASSITE HEMATITE CYLINDER SEAL WITH WORSHIPPER AND LION Ca. 1500 - 1200 BC. A black stone cylinder seal engraved with a standing worshipper in a long robe, raising one hand in adoration before a dog rearing on its hind legs. Columns of cuneiform inscription surround the scene. The seal is perforated longitudinally. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 41.160.309.
