Keith Haring (AMERICAN, 1958-1990)
Born in Pennsylvania in 1958, Keith Haring started studying advertising, but then went on to study art at the School of Visual Arts in New York. During his studies, he was highly influenced by the street art that could be found wherever he would go. In the 1980s he turned to street art himself and painted building and walls in cities all over the world. These cities include, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro and most of all, New York. It was not until 1985 that Haring started incorporating canvas into his work. His works can be found in some of the most famous art collections worldwide.
