Model 1884 troop kepi of the 131st infantry regiment. Blue cloth headband with scarlet cloth number 131 (wear and moth holes). Scarlet cloth turban with blue piping. Grenade buttons. Punched visor and leather chinstrap. Inner case with leather headband and base with pastille, marked inside in pen "PAVEE 5665". Fairly good condition (moth holes and wear). Third Republic. During WW1, the regiment served in Argonne, Flanders and the Somme. Provenance: Collection of Monsieur F. EXPERT: Arnaud DE GOUVION SAINT-CYR.
