KHMER SANDSTONE ANTEFIX WITH FIVE HEADED NAGA SERPENT

A carved sandstone antefix depicting a five-headed rearing Naga serpent. The central serpent is shown to be clasping a jewelled garland in its mouth as an offering. The antefix is mounted on a modern black base. For similar see: Norton Simon Museum, accession number F.1983.23.S.
